“Nemesis has no remedy or cure” is the translation from the title of this Yoruba-language christian praise music recording. Replete with accordion and great percussion and guitar momentum, we learn today about fascinating West Nigerian christian movement Aládura via a musically and politically inclined preacher Evangelist Niyi Adedokun. The title song parodies Nigeria’s government run by a host of leaders whose failings will be judged by God. Adedokun has been prolific, having released at least 30 albums. He is today considered one of the fathers of classic/old time Yoruba gospel music.
