Dealing in Mandingo matters from Guinea. Ibro Diabate’s stoned-earnest look on the cassette cover isn’t an act: this guy is killing it on some smooth-soaring-vocals-and-lovely-female-chorus-dancing-kora level. Diabate deserves the best from us listeners. Do the right thing and buy Ibro’s record from the man.
Awesome Tapes from Africa will be in Germany this week, see prior post for dates. Big ups to the great people of Lyon, Marseilles and Paris who completely exceeded my expectations this past week.

These links take me to no songs, just a Podcast page?! Am I missing something?

I like his songs too…
This is another great one. Thanks!
But what happened to side 1, track 3 (“Konko Koto”)?
I love your blog and have spent many happy hours listening to the amazing array of African music you have posted up. I’d like to thank you for all the hard work and time you have put into this venture – its very rewarding for us listeners to meet a fellow lover of African artistes.
I just heard the great Ibro Diabate’s album ‘Kéré Wali Gbaka’, but what happened to track 3, face A ‘Konko Koto’?
Perhaps the quality not good enough to post?
Thanks once again….

It seems that the error is that the song that we downloaded with the name (Singue nun)corresponds to a the song (Konko koto).
and the one(Bayi balo)is the song(Singue nun).
And the nº5 song(Bayi balo) is missing.
