Sekouba Traore Walinyumadon – Vol. 1

Hunters’ music from Mali par excellence. Buzzy, bluesy blackouts abound. The tape swings harder and rawer than most.

I bought Sekouba Traore Walinyumadon at the Smithsonian Folklife Festival in DC, 2003… KEXP captured a performance there.
